There is always someone that will stick their tongue to a frozen metal pole to see if it will stick when they know it will. There is always someone that will touch that iron to see if it hot when they know it will burn them. There is always someone that will try that trial size $1.29 rum from Princeton, MN of all places and think they are going to find a hidden gem when they know it won't be. It is not gold colored at all. More of a watered down pinot grigio color. The aroma is almost non-existent, which may be the only thing going for it because the taste is like Listerine mouth wash. No scratch that. Original Listerine is better because you don't swallow it.

This stuff is harsh and BURNS. I see nothing redeeming about this except it is still better than Bacardi Gold.

Aye, the color alone might turn people away. She smells fruity sweet, like apples and just a hint of lime. As tastes go, those are on board first, followed by a hint of burned sugar, black pepper for sure, and then bitterness. Not terribly sweet, and quite a bit of burn. The afters on this were more foul than a rough stormy night at sea. If you asks me, this not be for sippin', but if you were to mix this with anythin', mix it with poor life decisions... like buying this rum.

A very oaky rum that taste like a white wine left in an American charred barrel for flavour

I picked this up to try because of the price. It had a warm taste, slow to give off aromatics, and while it had some harshness to swallow, it was nothing like paint thinners I've tried. It also mixed well in my standard "rum and coke" pour.

I rated this a bit higher because it is not bad for the extremely low price. Obviously not a sipper, but not a bad mixer.

Not surprised this stuff is terrible because it's one of those budget rums. It tastes like bad vodka mixed with dirt or mold. Has a strong musty flavor and doesn't remind me of rum in the least. Tastes like it was distilled from mushrooms or something. Yeah, this stuff is really crappy.

Weak tasting with a solid alcohol after-burn not sure what Caribbean islands their talking about on the label but in times of need a great anti-freeze I'm sure.

This is the rum you get at the free hotel happy hour for your rum and coke. Add a lime to add some flavor. I marked it a four because they do have a gold rum with a glimmer of hope.

This rum has absolutely no aroma. The only flavor is juat some sweetness with an alcohol burn.
