Non vedevo l'ora di assaggiarlo in quanto mi era stato consigliato da diverse persone. Una volta bevuto il primo sorso ho dovuto abdicare, molto speziato e non rispetta quello che mi sarei aspettato.

This one is a bit unferwhelming...at first it promises big notes of chocolate coffe and vanilla but it falls off a cliff. The nose is much better than the actual taste. Skippable experience.

Just a plain quick rum. Alcohol burner to tone down with some soda or juice. Cheap Bacardi style rum.

Kraken is very popular these days and it is a very cool spiced rum, with noticeable chocolatey sweetness. It is definitely not an extraordinary rum for tasting though. More like having a chillaxed evening with friends or family.

I've got an emotional attachment to this rum and at it's core I think it has it's place in the market. But it certainly relies pretty heavily on the strong branding. I find that it runs incredibly smooth when used in a Rum and Coke however I never reach out for the Kraken when I want to drink something neat/on rocks.

Mixed this with root beer and really enjoyed it. Feeling it now

It's very easy to drink mixed with coke or ginger beer, but there's nothing special about it. A bottle will disappear pretty quickly. Nothing very unusual or notable in the taste or smell or mouthfeel.
