HAVANA CLUB SELECCION DE MAESTROS.... väga hea sõber Indrek kinkis selle pudeli minu 30 aastase juubeli puhul. Aastaid on see pudel kapinurgas seisnud ja oma õiget aega oodanud. Nooruspõlves olen saanud suht sitta havanna solki. Kuigi nüüd mõtlen ma et oleks vist aeg avada see pudel ja proovida.....on ju jõulud ja andestamise aeg #MERRY CHRISTMAS#

One of the Cuban finest selections. Very balanced on the palate with an oaky aftertaste. Packs 45% for a very pleasant and continuous kick as well :)

Lately I've been consuming somewhat sweet rums. This was a complete 180 deg turn for me. A good turn no less! There is notes of tabacco, leather, slight vanilla and definitly alcohol in a good manner. With every sip I take it's a pleasure knowing I'm not paying big money for added sugar. Nice, dry and unsweetened. Some think it's overpriced. I disagree. At $60 a bottle it can hang with $100 rums and shine all the way. I give it a 9 because of how well it can hang in the C note + department. Also, I'll bet this pairs with a good cigar (preferably Cubanos) just like scotch or cognac do. Bravo H.C.

Very well balanced and smooth Cuban Rum - its strong (45 %) but not to strong - I use it both as a sipper and a mixer, and it is perfect for both.

Nose: prunes, citrus and a hint of tobacco
Pallet: oak, citrus, hints of licorice and fruity sweetnes, followed by a long burn with a pale bitterness like dark chocolate and coffee.

Love it! Perfect with a cuban cigar.

Starts with great sweetness and ends with a slight saltiness. Also with a strong oaky finish, bit bitter towards the end.

Der er skruet op for indtrykkene. Masser af krydderi, karamel, abrikos, og tobak! Knap så sød, men heller ikke tør.

The rum that got me interested in rums. Although to be fair, it could have been the barrel proof. It's been some years. Tasted it at a friend of a friend's house. It surprised me with how tasteful and complex rum could be.

Recently, I received a bottle from my friends after finishing graduate school. Have yet to open it, but will update this review when I do. Curious to find if it can live up to the fairy tail taste my memory has created.
