Havana Club Añejo Reserva Rum is aged five to six years. This rum was not originally intended for public consumption but reserved for Don Navarro, the head master rum-maker for Havana Club.
This rum is one of eight produced by Havana Club in Santa Cruz del Norte, Cuba.
Sehr guter Mix-Rum.
Liebe meinen Cuba-Libre mit diesem Rum !
Very good mix rum.
Love my Cuba-Libre with this rum!
good rum to drink with a coke cuba libre as they call it
Was in Cuba and was drinking this in a bar because they didnt have the havana 7.
I didnt mind because this was really good. Not so sweet as the 7, but just as nice with cola, ice and lime =)
Nice mixing rum, cuba libre.
Tasted this recently and found it to be flavorful, slightly woody/dry, but a little harsh and thus the 8 rating although I almost rated this a 9. I enjoyed it more with just a little water added or on the rocks. Dispite the harshness, it's delicious...and I'm looking forward to the day when the embargo is lifted and Cuban rum will once again flow in the USA.
This is a nice step up from the standard Anejo rum. I like to compare it with the 7yrs Flor De Cana, with a cube of ice.
It tastes same as Bacardi 8.
Una reserva única
A very average light mixing rum
Tall glass, lots of fresh lime and Coke, add a big slug of this = Sublime!
not bad, good for relaxing
A brassy rum that is strong up front with a weak sweetness at the end. It has a familiar taste to tequila.
This is a decent rum for mixing. It's not as smooth as Brugal Extra Viejo, but it does have a more complex finish. It's a little stronger-tasting than Havana Club's own Anejo Especial and slightly better for sipping, but still not as good as their 7-Year (Anejo 7 Anos).
A cherished part of my collection
I use this one to mix up with coke if their is nothing else...
This is a great rum that unfortunately you can't buy in the states. Excellent on the rocks, very smooth with a wonderful strong taste. I'll be singing the blues when my one bottle is gone!
I bought this on a criuse and did not drink until I came home. I transported it in some rum runners that I used on vacation and it may have picked up some extra flavors. It has a sweet fruitiness that I have never tasted in a non-flavored rum. I will have to pick another bottle up this summer to see if the flavor is true.
Nose: Pear/tobacco/wooden notes, some age
Palate: Strong and complex, yet smooth.
How to serve: Rocks, or Cuba Libre.
A good pretty good quality/price rum
First tasted Havana Club in the Caymans and then later in Aruba. I like the strength of this rum. It tastes like a powerful Cuban rum with hints of caramel. I like it on the rocks, but it is great with cola as well.
