Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

When I think of this rum I think of it as a utility Rum whether you’re smoking a cigar at a party or just relaxing by the pool this rum is SAFE option. Would I pick this rum for a last meal request probably not but would I complain also probably not.In my opinion this is just the base standard for rum!
Not one of my favorite, but a good rum. I enjoy as a mixer better than straight.
Tastes like nice dark chocolate, simple and eligant.
Naprawdę niezły rum, idealny do drinków ale także do picia solo. W smaku czuć bardzo delikatna ostrość, alkohol dobrze ukryty, finisz w miarę długi. Za tą cenę chyba najlepszy.
I always look forward to rum from havana club when i leave the us
Most bars stock this so it's a good choice in non specialised bars
One of my favourite drops atm, cannot go wrong with a lovely 7 year old and coke, bit of ice. Lovely
i guess it‘s a typical midfield rum, not bad but nothing special. it doesn‘t hurt but it‘s also not that great. for the price you can go with it. nice one for a cuba libre…
Complex in flavour, strong cigars - just enough not to overpower. Very good representation of Cuban rums. Both neat and in cocktails.
Havana Club Añejo 7 Años has a dazzling and clear mahogany colour...

'caramel, cane sugar, and a bit of cinnamon character in the finish'

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Shorter finish with only a hint of spice. Some rubber and barky hints. Not overly complex.
