Havana Club 15-Year

My new favorite Cuban style rum. All of the taste profile you expect, but with exceptional smoothness. I have not tasted anything quite like this.

Top notch stuff. A cognac like rum with notes of vanilla, prunes, raisins, caramel.

At Rum Point in the Cayman Islands in 2018. Was very good, aged well. Vanilla, stone fruit, and molasses flavors. To the restaurants credit, they made sure I understood what I was ordering at least three times.

Quality product. Good taste and aroma. Seleccion de Maestros is woth a try too.

Esto es un ron. Es muy suave. Al tragar no raspa. En el sabor encontramos muchas cosas agradables. No es ni seco ni dulce. Yo lo he acompañado con un puro Cuaba. Que combinación.

I've tasted this rum in a bar in Havana (as it was until now the only way I could afford a sip) and it was marvellous. A very rich and full taste, definitely not your average rum!

But still, compared to other great, smooth rums the price cannot be ignored. For the price of a bottle I'd buy myself probably 6 of my favorites..

Probably mostly works as a sipping rum, if now that is a bad thing. Many pleasant notes and goes down smoothly. Overpriced as hell ofcourse...the barrel proof version is a lot cheaper and at least as good.

Great on ice. Nice full body and great tones. Would not waste with a mixer. Expensive.

I really enjoy that bottle. Great full flavor, very smooth, just at right level of sweetness. So easy to sip that I finished bottle sooner than I would like :). For me is 9.5
