Companero Trinidad Elixir Orange

It is definitely not a classic rum. He is closer to liqueur. It is very sweet and very orange. The first time I drank it, before I became interested in rum, it made a huge impression on me. I still rate it very good, but with the thought that it is a very sweet and very orange rum. Very good to drink warm, with ice, perfect for coffee with milk. It's such a sweet dessert among rums.

If you are taste it and rank it with assumption it is elixir you must love it :) Of course, all ratings below/above saying it is not rum are right ... but cant you OMG read or are you blind ??? It is elixir orange and you should rank it accordingly .. ;) And thus it is "sweet as hell" it should be .. :)

Okay, now the my review -> it is very stunning and very well balanced combination of orange and coconut (in comparison with Espero coconut there is not chemical coconut :) ). It is very sweet and I like it :-) It is another my favorite for long working nights.

Description smells unique. Kinda spicy neat. Like tastes fire. Definitely spiced well. Tastes unique like the smell. This is beautiful. This took me by surprised it was a dream to taste. Slightly synthetic but equally lush and full of flavour yet with a strong rum essence. Couldn’t have to much but to sip neat or with a small Mixer it’s perfect.

Really taste the orange. Nice smooth drink. Its great neat over ice and paired with its sister chocolate rum, bloody gorgeous 😍

I like the strong orange flavor. I would compare it to cointreau and to a rum. I like it more than cointreau.

On the nose Compañero Elixir is nothing special. But that is where my criticism of this rum starts and finishes! For me this is up there as one of the best rums I’ve ever had, certainly the best rum I’ve drank neat. Because it’s an orange rum liqueur, it’s got a syrupy texture to it, that is both sweet and delicious, and also zesty and zingy, especially so in the aftertaste. Neat it does possess a slight alcohol burn, but nothing too harsh. In fact, this rum is so scrumptious, that I’d say the need for any sort of mixer is redundant. However, if you just can’t resist the urge to try Compañero Elixir as a long drink, it works well with either sparkling orange, or mango, and of course Coca-Cola. Probably best with the latter in my opinion, because when mixed with coke, the orange flavouring becomes more prominent and lingers that little bit longer in the aftertaste. So, if you like your rums sweet, very sweet, then you definitely need to have a bottle of Compañero Elixir, in your rum collection, it’s a no brainer.

A great combination of rum and sweet orange liqueur. It tastes better than Cointreau. Aromatic and strong.

Der Companero Elixir orange besticht durch seine fruchtigen Noten von Orangen und Kokosnüssen mit einem tollen Rumaroma von großer Qualität. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Wery tasty, i like it for orange flavour but you can drink only one glass, just for taste. It's sweet.

Hned po otevření se projeví velmi výrazná vůně kokosu, což mě vzhledem k názvu překvapilo. Pomeranč je cítit také, ale až za kokosem. Chuť je na počátku velmi sladká, jako u likéru, ovšem na rozdíl od něj se vzápětí projeví hřejivost a možná na chvilku trošku ostřejší chuť (ale spíš relativně vzato k počáteční sladkosti), která připomene, že obsah alkoholu řadí tento kousek do rumů. Delší dochuť, u které počáteční kokos rychle mizí a dává vystoupit pomeranči. Velmi příjemné, klidně bych u toho strávil večer :)
