Enjoyable on it's own or with your favorite mix. A great taste and well worth it!

Having exhausted all the cheaper rums available to me, with a mixed level of enjoyment, I decided to take advantage of a black Friday sale to try a bottle of this after hearing good things.

Simply put, I could drink this neat all day long. It's got a little heat but it's balanced fantastically with the sweetness of the sugar cane and it's one of the few rums where I've really been able to pick up on the different stages of flavour for each sip.

I will definitely be buying it again.

Some Rums are cloyingly sweet, too sweet in my opinion. I love the flavors of a good rum, it can taste like whiskey or bourbon only better (in my opinion). I've gotten older (in my 50s now) and the excessive sweetness of rum has started to bother me.

Flor de Cana 12 has all the flavour, subtle spice and smoothness of good rum without that over the top sweetness. Don't even get me started on Appleton.... ugghhh.

Flor de Cana 12 has flavour, is clean and smooth, great for sipping and mixes well.

Definitely not sweet. I would say dry.
What is very important in time of sweet rums everywhere. Good matured feeling, very good bottle.

A great sipping rum served on the rocks. Also lovely with a splash of cola. A smooth rum with a nice, simple and not too complex flavoring, which I like. Not too sweet but not too strong either. The bite of alcohol doesn't hit the tongue until after swallowing. It also has a lovely looking bottle which will stand out in your cabinet.

Really like the warm feelings and solid flavors. Not harsh at all, and goes down smooth.
I drank it neat. Will try on the rocks, then with OJ

I love the Flor de Cana line of rums and the 12 year is no exception. For those of you that enjoy whiskey and bourbon, this is for you. For you rum lovers, you won't be disappointed either. No harsh flavor with limited heat going down. Complex characteristics with a nice contrast of oakiness and sweetness made for sipping neat. I would go with Flor de Cana's younger siblings for mixing with a less expensive price tag.

Always enjoyed Flora dark 4 yr rum. So one day I decided to upgrade and buy higher up. In conclusion I will stick to the 4 yr. it suits me fine and in the end that is all that matters. Duke

Some of the best for the money, full bodied and slightly sweet. I prefer it over the 18.
