Value for money is just out of this world!
It's sweet, mild, great palate cleanser for cigar tasting. Not overpowering at all.
I prefer Mantuano over rums which costs 2-3 times more. Surprised how not popular it is.
Just get it.

I was extremely surprised with its profile. The orange hits you immediately followed by caramel and vanilla flavours. Definitely one that I will be in my cabinet

This is another knockout from diplomatico, the flavour is subtle tones of caramel with no afterburn. I still prefer reserva exclusiva but remember this replaced diplomatico reserva which is much improved and a delight to drink on the rocks ...

A light brown bronze colour in the glass. In the nose a light sweetness and sharpness, a little bit fruity. A light sweet taste, a little bit bitter during the finish, later on its dry. The finish is quite long and nice.

I tried this rum in Germany where the Diplomatico is called Botucal. Here you can find this rum for cheap and it tastes great. It seems like a slightly less refined version of the Reserva Exclusiva, with the same sweetness and taste. I highly recommend it if you want a good rum for a cheaper price or you don't find others. Goes well with chocolate

I thought the mantuano was only a new name for the reserva but then I realized it is more complex, maybe even a bit smoother than the reserva, really suprised, great rum. Obviously its not a reserva exclusiva, but superb for mixing as it is not that sweet as the reserva exclusiva. It is a very good value for the price (about 16 euros here). I would give it a 7.5 but for the price it must be a 8. One of my favorite mixers

Interesting and "give me more" effect.. Taste is smooth and enjoyable, no alcohol flavor

I don't know really how to taste a rum but to drink it and see if I like it. And this one I like a lot. As much and maybe more than the Reserva Exlusiva. Wonderful amber colour, sweet bouquet and a taste that makes me drink just one more glass.

Rum with a strong bourbon cask influence. Not very sweet, soft and full-bodied. One drawback: a short finish.

This is a very good rum. Great flavor, no burn, smooth across the tongue. Great price for what this rum brings to the table. If you havenโ€™t had Diplomatico before, try this one.
