Single Cask 3/19, bottle 11/150.
Alkohol: 41 %
Původ: Belize
Aroma: Fantasticky vyladěná vůně! Propolis, včelí plástve, medovice, skořice, jitrocelový sirup, sušené banány, kokos, mentol a cedrové dřevo. Plná sklenka jemných odstínů mnoha vůní, pořád je co objevovat. Nemůžu se té vůně nabažit, opravdu parádní zážitek. (96 b)
Chuť: Sladkost asi 40 %. Chuť dobře ladí s vůní. Nasládlé delikátní dřevo v exotickém stylu, kokos. Jemný, vyzrálý, uhlazený. V dochuti je dojem spíš do brandy. (93 b)
Body: 95

Very sweet and fresh rum with coco, banana and vanilla flavors. Delicate in mouth with Port coming to the end. Very long and sweet aftertaste. Good work from Plantation.

Most rums with port finish are good but this one is even better than that

Tasted just once, gives a little different flavor to a generally great Plantation rum.

Dryer than other Plantations I’ve tried and that’s a good thing. Pleasant sweetness after slight peppery warmth that lingers.

Plantation Old Reserve Belize 2004, Cask & Cooper of Washington, cask no 18/19, bottle 355/450. 41% ABV. Unlike today's Plantations, there are no notes on aging regimen (how old is this thing, anyway?), aside from "finished in Porto cask."

Lovely nose. The port finish is evident, and reminiscent of Foursquare's famous Port Cask Finish. Port, brandy, caramel, oak, sugar. Surprisingly woody on the palate. Definitely the woodiest Plantation I've ever had. Fairly astringent as well. But that Plantation profile and Port finish help to round out out very nicely, perhaps not unlike a sherried whisky (I wouldn't really know). I quite like it.

8+

Picked this up as a close out. No idea why this would not sell. Nice smooth sipper.

Cask no. 7/19. Bottle no. 339/450. 41 %.

Dejlig blød og let drikkelig rom. Lidt til den søde side.
