I'm not a big fan of cachaça, but I keep searching for one I'll really like. This wasn't my favorite.
Has a classic fermented raw sugar cane cachaça flavor with some oak and pepper. The fermented sugar cane also seems to have a hint of brine. I don't care for the aftertaste, as I find it somewhat bitter.
Not a bad cachaça, but my favorite cachaça to date is the Engenho Buriti de Minas Famosinha de Minas Cachaca.

If you love cachaca you'll want to drink this all day long. It's been pot-stilled and aged for ten years in oak. Delightful flavors - tobacco, melon, cream and a dash of red pepper. A little vegetality, very little wood. Just a perfectly clean-tasting, smooth glass of perfection. Very easy to drink straight up, almost too good to mix, even with just lime and sugar. Wonderful stuff.
