Rhum made by a couple of young French in Thailand.
Smell like rotten mangos (not necessary in a bad way).
Taste the cane, but lack of something more.

Rum distilled in french imported alambic with cane sugar out of local thai production. The distillery is located south of Phuket Town.

Ty hodnoceni tady me fakt mrzi.

Chalong Bay is easily one of my favorite light rums - super unique flavor. Very smooth and crisp.

Cadeau van mijn schoonbroer.
Geur is fruitig bloemig, smaak is pittig spicy

Drinking Batch 00001. Can't wait to see what they produce down the line if their first batch is this good.

Fresh cane, bamboo, petrichor, and maybe a little corn oil. Similar vibe to rhum agricole, but perhaps with shorter, cleaner fermentation.
Will definitely buy again.

I bought it in Thailand.. Onely potstill sugar cane rum.
I miss the high Esthers. Its not as good as a sugarcane Hampden LROK or an Clairin Sajous..
The Shalong . They made it more straight...
So.. to zip.. its OK Expected more of it.

"standard" white rum, didn't pick up any interesting character on it.

The local sugar cane and the french alambic. Quite intersting but nothing exeptional.

I live in Thailand and I enjoy rum so when given the opportunity to try Thai rum, I thought.... Why not? Having now tried it, I can now explain with some authority why I shouldn't have and why I would not do it again. This smells unfamiliar to me, as if trying to mask sugar cane aromas with chemical sweetener. The taste is not much better for my palate. I would rather have bacardi carra blanca and that's saying something. Didn't go any better in cocktails, overpowering and overwhelming everything else.
