Nice and tasty dark rum, taste of rasins, figs, vanilla.

I liked the Eldorado 12y, but it's too strong for my wife. Dos Maderas already has the right 40% and we both like it, the golden mean. In addition, thanks to its packaging, we discovered a delicacy in the form of sherry Don Guido 20y 18%, which was included in the packaging. Yum.

Měl jsem rád Eldorado 12y, ale pro manželku je moc silný. Dos Maderas má již správných 40% a chutná nám oběma, zlatá střední cesta. Navíc jsme díky jeho balení objevili lahodu v podobě sherry Don Guido 20y 18%, která byla přiložena k balení. Mňam.

Nice balance between dry and sweet. Tripple aging gives it something extra and complex.

Prvý rum od tohto producenta, prekvapil ma tak cenou, ako aj vôňou a chuťou.
Fľaša: typická rumová fľaša, ktorá sa mi svojim dizajnom veľmi pozdáva. Na fľaši je názov rumu, príjemne sa drží v ruke a oku lahodí hlavne farba rumu ktorá je tmavšia ako ostatné
Vôňa: vôňa je sladká, cítiť ovocie, sladké drievko, trocha ako keby kože a jemne vás zaštípe alkohol. Vôňu hodnotím príjemne, nie je vtieravá a primerané sladká
Chuť: po ochutnaní je najprv cítiť stopy po sherry a koňaku aj keď najprv priveľkú sladkosť (karamel, sledké ovocie – trocha pomaranč), ktorá sa postupne vytráca a pretlačí ju alkoholová chuť, ktorá sa rozplynie a príjemne zahreje.
Záver: veľmi zaujímavý rum, chutný, nevtieravý, cenovo podobný ako diplomatico reserva exclusiva. Ak by som sa však mal rozhodnúť medzi týmto rumom a diplomaticom, išiel by som do diplomatica

Pleasant delicate sweetness, sherry aging, fruit, nut, barrel is felt. All this is perfectly balanced, despite the fact that the rum is still young. Incredibly easy and pleasant to drink. Great value for such a wonderful quality.

Приятная нежная сладость, ощущается хересная выдержка, фрукты, орех, бочка. Всё это прекрасно сбалансировано, несмотря на то, что ром всё-таки молодой. Невероятно легко и приятно пить. Отличная цена для такого замечательного качества.

I would say no better than its description on the maker's website: "Dark amber in color, this intriguing rum offers fig [and raisin - didn't personnally got the raisin note] notes at first, leading to rich, ripe fruit on the palate. This is seasoned by some tropical spice and wrapped in sherry notes, with wisps of smoky oak and a touch of tobacco leaf." Serious and sweet. But not a typical or classical rum taste. Would make fine cocktails outstanding.

If you want very interesting tasting for lower price. Maybe a sherry smell, sweetish rum cake taste and no after taste.

But it's a bit too sweet. Still a passable sipper. Lots of raisins and I get hints of tobacco, smoky content. If it didn't have so much sweetness it'd be deserving of a higher rating. As others have said let this breathe before partaking.

Zastanawialem sie juz dawno jaki to bedzie smak i jaki zapach, nie zawiodl mnie. Rum jest delikatny i slodki ale nie za slodki. Dobrze ukryty alkohol. Zarowno zapach jak i smak zlozony. Mega delikatny choc na koncowce jest delikatna pieprznosc. Polecam z czystym sumieniem, daje mu 9 choc dalbym 9,5.

This was the first rum I tasted, and the one that got me to love a good rum. The Dos maderas 5+5 got some nice woody smell at first with some vanilla tones. The first sip got some subtile Burn followed with some sweet caramel aftertaste. Not A complex rum but very accessible and pleasant!
