This is one of my favorites. Not a Molasses profile guy but I do really like this one. I only drink this one neat, and the flavor profile is Molasses forward (not too dominant), with a caramel slight raisin finish. It's a tad on the sweeter side but not a sugar bomb at all. Very smooth and always a good balance when I come back to it. Definitely one enjoyable rum.

Really good rhum but u have to let it breathe, at least 15 minutes. Close to the taste of el pasador. Not too intense on the alcool, not too sweet, fruits and oak vanilla at the end. Really a good choice !!!

What a surprise! One of the best brown rums I ever tasted. Dark brown colour, smooth, full flavor, sweet character. Compares easily with a Qorum of double the price.
My bottle looks different, on the label it says: Dos Maderas Triple Aged Rum 5+5. Don't know if it just looks different or of it is a different rum.

This is my taste. Sweet, delicate fragrance. Dark amber color. Gentle in the finish

Dos Maderas 5+5 je směs rumů, které zrály 5 let v Karibiku (Guyana, Barbados), pak byly převezeny do Španělska, kde ve sklepech firmy Williams & Humbert zrají dalších 5 let v sudech po sherry, z toho 3 roky po Palo Cortado a dva roky po dvacetiletém sherry Pedro Ximénez.

Původ: Guyana,Barbados,Španělsko
Aroma: Hluboká, mohutná vůně, z ktreré je Pedro Ximénez opravdu znát. Lékořice, sirupová nasládlost, kůže, anýz, trochu občas inklinuje i k portskému, s lehkým dotekem hutné ovocné přezrálosti. (88 b)
Chuť: Lékořice, opálené sudy, sladkost PX se tu míchá se suchostí sherry v dochuti, k tomu topinky a med. (91 b)
Body: 90
Shrnutí: Pár lahví Pedro Ximénez jsem v poslední době měl možnost ochutnat a vliv těchto sudů na rum je opravdu markantní. Přitom však stále víte, že opravdu pijete rum. Tohle je originální kousek, který se výrazně odlišuje od ostatních rumů. Za celkové vyznění a originalitu rád zaokrouhluju hodnocení směrem nahoru.

Beautiful mahogany color with fruity , grapes, figs . The sherry is very present and gives a nice structure to rum. Finally, it includes the Aging working in sherry and this double (triple) aging initiated with the little brother 5+3. The taste is long and delicate. Wonderful discovery and hopefully soon confirm a 9 or 10 with luxus

Un rhum a goûter absolument, belle couleur et smooth

Denne var en af de første - en gave, som var lige sprittet nok. De søde rom var mere mig, men efter noget tid har denne vundet mere og mere indpas. Kan godt li den sherry-snært de sidste 5 års lagring har bidrager med.
