Quite very delicious: coffee and toffee notes are very heavy. Some woody note as well.

This is an awesome rum. Anyone that says otherwise is a nob. It says so in the bible. Hopefully someone buys you a bottle as a gift because it is almost as expensive as gold. If you buy a bottle, don't tell your wife because it "evaporates" very quickly. It deserves the name "Dictator" because it takes away all control and leaves you poor and f***ed . Its like the Great Reset, drink enough of it and you will own nothing and be happy.

Not so sweet and kind of spicy. You also get that brute force of alcohol even it's 20yo.
Refinement and significant step up from the 12y Dictador. On the nose, there is walnuts, oak, cocoa, and citrus fruits, the taste starts with sweet dried fruits, mainly raisins, then leather, oak and walnuts in a dry twist, the aftertaste is nicely spicy, and bitter-sweet. It has less unnatural cloying texture and less of walnut liqueur style of its 12y old variant. All and all it is more pleasant and more rummy than its younger brother, but still I have some suspicion that the nutty flavor comes from additives, found similar in cheaper rums, such as Cacique Anejo, Santa Teresa Anejo, Botran 12.
There is a hint of tobacco and a touch of tar. Overall though its mostly sweet.
"It has a reasonable amount of alcohol burn to reassure you it is a 40% spirit. Itโs more like a kind of sherried flavoured vodka. Iโm sure such a drink exists somewhere."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Nice rum with pleasant and rich nose producing 3 main components: coffee, cane sugar and pecan nuts. Pleasant and easy-going, sweet but having surprisingly short aftertaste as for 20 yo distillate.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Sweet, thick, coffee, brown sugar, pecan nuts, caramel, vanilla, hint of cinnamon
Palate: Sweet, slightly spicy (ginger, cloves, cardamom), latte, caramel, honey notes, herbs with light bitterness, oak on the background
Finish: Short, sweet, somewhat dry, oaky, notes of dried dark fruits
