This is one of my favorite rum maker !! Clement is a perfect balance between sugar cane, molasses and some hints of coconuts. I love it too and it will always have to place in my cabinet !!
The first time I tried this rum, I disliked it very much. It was overly woody and I dismissed it entirely. I tried it again the other night in a Glencairn glass with the mindset that it would be unlike most rums I am used to drinking and found that it was quite enjoyable. It has a unique aroma, like toasted wet hay with a smooth finish. Supplemented by sweeter rums, it adds a layer of depth and complexity to cocktails. I will be trying this again as a sipper soon.
Very elegant and mature, but clearly not for everyone. This rum needs the right mindset and experience. I can't say I'm there yet, and it's not my preferred choice, but I can understand the grandioso of it. I tried this at a rum and chocolate tasting, and at first it was a pretty edgy rum with tones of cognac and oak. It turned out it is perfect with some rich pricey (swiss) milk chocolate. The combo was almost so good I saw stars.
A real smooth Rhum, one of my few discoveries from my Rum advent calendar
I bought this thinking it would be a good supplement for VSOP which I can't find in my area. Its definitely drier and not nearly as sweet as traditional rum, obviously because it isnt. It wasn't bad in my tiki drinks but will need to try more to better understand it.
Edit* I enjoy this a lot more now. I had only experienced it in cocktails and Dont prefer what it adds in a cocktail.
Sipping is a entirely different experience. It's quite good neat or with a little ice.
Aromat discret, bine primit On The Rocks, foarte echilibrat, distins! Chiar deosebit-premium.. More or less depinde de preferințe.
Woody and spicy, enough strong but good!A real rhum from martinique.
Une attaque très puissante et très boisée, pas désagréable pour autant même si une bouche si franche n'est pas du goût de chacun. Une finale vanille et légèrement chocolatée ponctue la dégustation.
Typiquement de style antillais, avec une puissance franche.
Sweet and very inviting.
"Very bourbon like sweet/sour type note, with a lot of grassy but very fresh smelling notes."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

C'est toute la difference. Le rhum est destille du sap de canne et pas de la bagasse.
J'ai vue la plantation et la distellerie. Il y'a peu meilleur.
