Interestingly, Bacardi’s white rum is rated low. It is a very pristine & clean spirit that goes well with certain mixers. Their history is rich & deeply involved in the political struggles of Cuba. The Bacardi family helped redefine rum & are part of rums story. A rum that shouldn’t be judged as harshly as it is imo.

Interesting rum, because of the molasses/champignon aroma. No oak aroma because it's not aged at all.
There are no other special aromas like in Savanna Rums. I think that's a usual rum for mixing. There are just a few unaged rums that can be enjoyed as a sipper.

Smell: citrus, molasses, alcohol, mushrooms, steel aromas
Taste: molasses (champignon, salt), steel aromas, citrus, some sweetness
Finish: short and citrus/molasses

Sweetness: 1.5/5
Fruit: 2.5/5
Spice: 2/5
Mildness: 4/5

Anytime I think Bacardí found a new bottom of bad rums, they manage to surprise me. This is what happens when you just put a random gasoline in bottle and call it rum.

Why Bacardi is so popular? I don't get it, and becouse of those rums I have to tell people that there are great rums out there, and they don't believe me. But still it is good for mixing I suppose.

Final verdict: I will not buy it again

I shudder to think of all the wasted $ spent drinking this in my youth... but at the time... it did make for fun nights .
