Thanks so much for submitting a report. It has been emailed to the Rum Captain and will be actioned shortly.
Smell reveals a surprisingly soapy aroma, which is a tad offputting. The actual rum is very smooth, but unmemorable. No burn at all at the end, but hardly no memories either. The taste disappears super quickly from your taste buds. Plantation has some excellent rums, unfortunately the Grenada 2003 is not one of those.
...that I cant quite identify. That said, it is almost certainly fruity. Coats the tongue in flavour nicely. Ends with a nice floral finish that excellently compliments the original strong flavour.
This review is probably slightly skewed by the amount that I enjoy whatever that fruit is. However, I think that the fruit/floral finish combo is done so well that even if I discount my enjoyment of that initial fruit, I still think this is easily a 7.5 to an 8.
Edit: After reading the bottle, the "fruit" I was tasting was honeysuckle and the floral finish is jasmine which makes sense. The jasmine is very light and not overpowering.
Pas mauvais sans plus. Petit goût pharmacie quand même.
Something I can't put my finger on. There is a taste or flavor I can't I identify. It's not bad, it's just not something I would continue to buy and keep stocked. There are so many better out there and I will continue to seek out and try any of Planation's special rums.
