Tried it over a decade ago so I don't remember too much of it. But it is was Ok in cocktails.
A friend brought this back from Germany cause he knows how much I like Rum. Well of coarse I drank it straight up cause that is how Rum is suppose to be Drunk. It was not bad just it could not compare to the Caribbean Rums. It was not harsh or bitter and the after taste was ok, just no flavor like the good Rums I am use too. Sorry but I can not recommend this.
This German rum is not one of the top shelf but was curious to try it.
The color is pretty good, not to light, smell is a bit harsh and accidish.
The first you taste is a strong flavorless alcohol taste but after that the taste comes a little back and give the rum a bit more body, when this one is fading away the harsh aftertaste is filling your mouth.
The rum is not to bad but I think in this price range there are much better options.
This is a competent, although very basic rum.
It is clearly not meant to be sipped, although doing so does not hurt too much. Nose and taste are sweet (I assume there is sugar added, but not too much), a bit funky, cinnamon, glühwein (German style mulled wine). Works great in hot drinks such as grog or tea grog. Also good for baking.
Price is OK, but not super cheap. Arguably a bit too expensive for what it is, but then it is pretty consistent and the overall quality is fine.
... not for sipping. Design is the same as in 1980s, even the taste hasn't changed. I use it for punch.
This is the typical, almost flavourless rum that you use for Cuba Libre or other cocktails. If you're in Germany and don't find a Bacardi (highly unlikely) perhaps this is good for you. I would not recommend it alone.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Do grogu asi dobrý. Kvalita je přiměřená ceně.
