Oliver's Exquisito 1990 Solera

I should start by saying that there is not a novelty about the quality of this rum, since Oliver and Oliver have an excellent rum, however as in most cases, the presentation is not the best. On the margin this rum is very good, it has a very dark dark color, when served in the glass you can perceive different smells, such as vanilla, wood, sugar and fruits. When tasting it, sweet flavors, pepper, wood and fruits are appreciated.
It's an Exquisite rum as its name says, i invite you to try it when you have the opportunity.

Debo comenzar diciendo que no es una novedad la calidad de este ron, ya que Oliver & Oliver nos tiene acostumbrados a rones excelentes, sin embargo como en la mayoría de casos la presentación no es la mejor. Al margen este ron es buenísimo, tiene un color ámbar oscuro muy vistoso, al servirlo en copa se pueden percibir aromas distintos, como vainilla, madera, azúcar y frutas. Al probarlo se aprecian sabores dulces, pimienta, madera y frutas.
Es un ron Exquisito como reza su nombre, los invito a probarlo cuando tengan la oportunidad.

When I was in the Dominican Republic, the whole country was full with Barcelo and Brugal ads, but nobody talked about Oliver & Oliver. I just found a shop in Punta Cana, made for the american tourists (meaning expensive), where I got to know them. Back home I started to try their products (because in Germany it is cheaper) and they just cannot make a mistake.
Especially with this rum. Sweet caramel and vanilla on the nose and a great smooth taste with oak notes. It warms your soul right after the first sip.

Je ne connaissais pas du tout ce rhum qui est introuvable en France et j'ai profité d'une vente "flash" pour le tester... bien m'en a pris ! Quelle belle surprise que la découverte de ce rhum très très intéressant. Il a une couleur à tomber et au nez on sent la touche de caramel, café, chocolat, agrume, c'est très gourmand ! En bouche la promesse est tenue avec une belle complexité et une douceur qui vous fait replonger les lèvres très rapidement. Ca me donne envie de tester les deux autres (1995 et 1985) mais dur à trouver malheureusement. En tout cas si vous en avez l'opportunité je ne peux que vous conseiller de le tester par vous même, il vaut vraiment le détour ! Allez, je pars m'en recommander une autre bouteille d'avance...

Oliver's Exquisito 1990 Vintage Solera er en meget lækker rom, blød med tilpas sødme og en utrolig god eftersmag.

The bottle: Decent ordinary bottle.
Glass: A dark amber color that shimmer low in gold. Fragrance, One of the most delicious scents you can get out of rum to me.
Mouth: Mild and balanced sweetness. Vanilla little oak can be a touch of leather and at the end a little weak pepper. Yummy!
Slips down like a well-oiled lightning. Gentleness is like cotton in my throat.
After Taste: This is the Achilles heel. Not that it's bad or anything just too short. Such a taste, you want more.
Summary: A bottle of a rum enthusiast should have in their cupboards. Oliver & Oliver has certainly succeeded and throughout this series will end in my collection (1985, 1990, 1995)

his is first Exquisito I have bought and I like it, it smells better than tastes, but overall, I like it very much.

Super lækker duft.
Super lækker Rom, dejlig fyldig i såvel smag som konsistens.
Lang og behagelig eftersmag.

Chuť: Plný a olejnatý. Příjemně nasládlý, nezapře dominikánský styl od Oliver & Oliver. Mléčná čokoláda, rozinky, cedr. (92 b)
Body: 92/100
Shrnutí: Jde o moji lahev otevřenou na Vánoce. S nákupem jsem hodně spokojen, už verze 1995 mě hodně zaujala. Mám doma na někdy příště i verzi 1985.
