Great quality, genuine "Agricole Rhum". Love the freshness on the nose, with great notes of Cirtus/Orange, white flowers and hints of green almonds. Very well made, highly recommend it. Would love to try the higher %ABV one !
Distilled in an craft and responsible way, this Issan is the first Agricole Rhum from Tahilande that I have tasted. With a nice forthright attack, it is thin with a sublte cane aroma. The final is maybe a little bit short but has a nice apple aftertaste. The nose is quite different from the mouth which is more pleasant. 7.5/10 but 8 for the responsible phylosophy.
A very vegetable nose on sugar cane and herbaceous notes and also white fruits like pear. We are of course on an agricultural, there is no doubt. On the palate, the attack is unctuous almost greedy with always this very present sugar cane. A fairly average finish with herbaceous notes. Very nice white rum. It is a beautiful invitation to travel, an exotic introduction to the world of white rums that will open the door to French rum.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This product is from VERY fresh local field sugarcane - chopped, juice hand extracted and put to fermentation same day before being pot still distilled to 40% then rested in stainless steel for 12 months. So i would catagorise this as similar to a Cachaça Branca but with an earthy terroir of its own from the fertile banks of the river Mekong.
Nose is a little sharp, taste is fine with Vegetal, cane, mango and citrus coming through. Finish is short. Its not a sipper as is common with all/most white spirits IMHO but have fun with cocktails. Lime works fine, but try an Asian twist with ginger and lemongrass flavours topped with soda for a refreshing cool drink and an interesting and novel origin.
