Aromatic and appealing nose with sweeter notes of caramel, vanilla and marcipan alongside fruits like banana and subtle orange. It's very pleasing but not in a boring way, as the sweeter notes has nuance and the fruits impart freshnes.
The taste is smooth, pretty sweet and mainly composed of caramel, vanilla and marcipan based pastry, with a short finish that has just enough spice and character to remind you that your drinking rum. I tend to prefer non sweetened and additive free rum, but I think this works out ok and perhaps better than the majority of sweet rums, perhaps because it's simple and there's some nuance to the sweet notes. Also it's fairly cheap. It works superbly as a mixer in desert oriented drinks like fx. frozen mango lassi.

Its a great rum for the money. Easy to enjoy as it is.
My bet is that this Spanish blended rum has got quite some added Sugar in it. It tastes very 'fabricated', and the intrinsic vanilla and woody notes are overpowered by the sugary sweetness. As a straight sipper it doesn't float my boat, and was about to give up on it, untill I tried it as a mixer. Especially in mojitos it works Wonders.so if you're willing to spend €40 on a mixing rum, this comes recommended. If you like drinking your rum straight, there are far better options available.

molasses. sweet rum.
in the nose it gaves me plastic, almond, vanilla, banana and some hintes of mint. in the mouth it feels sweet, banana, pepper, vanilla. and some marzipan. overall a crowd pleaser with a little too much sharpness, in my opinion. the first impression is not rum it rather brings a liqueur with almond and banana and vanilla.
5/10 because of its hidden origin under the sweetness.

If you like a good tasteful and sweet rum, that have a great mix of the sugarcane and the light spices used. Let out for a little time before enjoying it, or the alcohol will be killing the pirate moment.
