Alkohol: 40 %
Původ: Kuba
Aroma: Plná, kořenitá vůně, kde ale první housle hraje výrazná kůže. Dále hřebíček a skořice.

Vanilka, cukr. Neštípe, hezky voní. Neurazí ale nejde o extra první ligu.
This one hit the spot with me. Taste and smoothness were just what I like. Since it was a gift and Cuban I have no idea of the cost which is a third factor I always consider. So I have to go with my first 2 criteria and give it an 8
OK for the money. Nothing to write home about though.
Amber colour rum in a plain bottle. A gentle reminder of vanilla before you sip. Taste the caramel but it is not sweet. Inoffensive but not outstanding
Unimpressive packaging, but this is the one and only downside of otherwise well crafted, smooth, unadulterated rum, which tastes better than I would expect from a 10y old. Complex, with the nose of leather, hint of tobacco, ending with citrus fruits and aged calvados, toffee taste which melts into black tea with fruity and spicy tones, a bit of vanilla, then comes a mild oak, then comes long aftertaste with notes of black tea, cocoa and spices. All smooth, balanced, light but complex, not too little and not too much. This rum, made in Cuba, is a true pleasure to drink. Zero sugar added, which for me is always a plus. Considering the price, where after some searching on the market I am able to buy it for approximately the same money as Dictador 12y or El Dorado 12y or Appleton 12y, this is money well spent.
Nose of vanilla and brown sugar. Taste of fudge, vanilla and a bit oak. Expected too much sweetness but it is not the case. Not a long finish, but a decent rum to a fair Price as I got it on sale for around 35$. I would buy it again.
Solid rum but price is too high... in this price range is much more better rums like presidente 19y, abuelo 12y and so on...
But it is smooth, not that sweet with aroma of sugar cane and wood: In mouth you can feel caramel, oak and sugar cane. Not bad at all but overpriced.
"vanilla paired with honey, toffee and peaches..."
"Ron Cubay Reserva Especial rum review by Helen at A Mountain of Crushed Ice"
It has quite light bodied nose – nicely balanced.
"It’s not at all fiery – nice cocoa and chocolate sweetness, a little of the tarry “Cuban” notes. ."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
