Dominican Republic | Gold | 40% ABV
Brugal Anejo rum is a blend of rums aged 3 to 5 years in used American white Oak barrels that previously held whiskey and bourbon.
The rum is produced in the Dominican Republic by Brugal & Co., a company that was founded in the late 1800s by the Spaniard Andrés Brugal Montaner. Today, the Brugal rum company remains largely in the control of Montaner's direct descendants.

Not much to say really. I could be biased from drinking this rum in cold rum n'cokes in late night merengue clubs over in DR but then I could also have an incredible taste ;-)
Sip it with a little ice and a splash of water. Add honey if you want.
Simply because I have drank more bottles of this than any other bottle in the world. Hundreds. Thousands? Oh my..,
I might also be a little biased, this was my first contact with darker rhums back in, oh, 2005, maybe.. Very pleasant and smooth, goes perfectly with cola, and doesnt necesseraly need ice. Always a safe choice and price-quality ratio is excellent!
Beautiful rum for cuba libre... Tried many rums: flor de cana, El dorado, zacapa, Ron barcelo (I think), Bacardi gold and 8, cruzan gold and single barrel. Real smooth and full of flavor, not to mention a great price
Brugal Anejo is on the sweet side with a medium body a great minerality to it that I like. I used it in a Rum punch and it was a big hit.
very good sipper, not sweet as Matusalem Extra Anejo
Had a great couple of nights with this rum, lovely and smooth
I highly recommend this bottle. For straight shots its great, also its amazing with coke if straight up is not your thing. All around one of my favorites always have a few bottles on deck. Can't beat the price point for the quality around here.
Good Dominican rum. Taste of wood in every sip and goes down smooth can be had straight up or on ice.
Nice gentle notes of vanilla and banana with a slight nutty aroma and a light oaked aroma.
"The rum is fairly smooth, however this gives way to a very strong burn upon swallowing. There are notes of oak and tobacco throughout the tasting but they aren’t very hard hitting at all."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Tried this rum while on a cruise between Turks and Caicos and Bonaire. This is a very nice sipping rum. Mild in taste, smooth finish. Excellent!
