This Jamaican Styled White rum is an exemplar of this style. It is not everywhere so if you see one even in 50ML bottles get some! An interesting nosing which is actually complex with a sweet cane on top of some funky spice. The taste comes at you very spicy and bold and funky a classic Jamaican Pot still rum with lots of Dunder. Very smooth and flavorful on its fairly long finish. Contrary to a previous reviewer I would have to say this lands amongst one of the better white rums a must try!
I finally found a bottle of this white rum today. I presume that this is really their dark rum that has had the colors filtered out. If so, then some of the flavors also came away with it. For me, this is a good thing since I don't really care for Myer's Dark anymore. The hogo funk remains from the pot still, which makes this one unique among white rums.
It also appears that ginger ale and the new Bold ginger ale were made for this rum, as this combination is incredible. I seem to find a use for all except the absolute worst of rums. By the way, out of all that I spent on trying new rums in the past two and a half years since December of 2017, only 25% wound up falling into the category to never buy again (ranked 5 or lower). Not bad at all!

This is a good mixer. I found it a little rough when neat or on the rocks. It has a little of that Jamaican funk that makes it interesting.

Just another white rum but not as bad as the other over produced white Rums on the market . This is a decent mixer and if it stood there with Bacardi, Brugal or Ro RICO I would choose Myers only because it does have some character over most white Rums. Sweet , balanced and not overly harsh . This to me is just an everyday white that is just passable as white Rums go.

Drank it neat, no mix. Has some character to the taste - almost like an Agricole, planty, earthy start. Finishes a little harsh, and no complexity to the flavor, but otherwise good.
And it could be better. More exciting than some whites, with a bit of funk, but not a tremendous amount. Some sweetness and light spice notes, mild burn, not much complexity. This could be a good intro for some into the world of Jamaican rums since it carries some of the character, but it won't overwhelm any of the senses. A good mixer, and makes a reasonably decent, if somewhat unconventional Daiquiri - worth experimenting with this one. I'd not consider this a sipping rum by any stretch, but it is better at sipping than some other white rums out there.

Just as good if not better than Myer's dark

Perfect mixer with Schwepp's Tonic. I can tell it's Myer's. I usually drink the dark. But tried this. Just as good. A tinge of fruity. Luv it! - Tiki Eric, Texas Gulf Coast
