Reminds me of a smooth whiskey. Not for mixing. Not sweet. Smooth sipper. Nice bottle and a pleasing addition to any collector's bar

One of my favourite of the moment, especially considering the reasonable price. This is a subtle and compact rum. It doesn't wildly throw flavours all over the place, which i hate. It is very harmonious and not too sweet.

un nez tres doux
Une entree en bouche tres delicate, du velours...
Aromes de fruits secs, agrumes, caramel....tres subtil melange, une belle reussite
Une longueur en bouche tres appreciable pr un rhum typ茅 espagnol
A recommander vivement 脿 tous ceux qui aiment les rhums doux, sucr茅s (mais pas ecoeurant) et complexe.
Fantastic nose on this one, and a wonderful smooth, oaky flavour to follow. You really can't go wrong with this. Easily better than pretty much everything else in it's price bracket in Western Canada (~$45).

This one is in constant rotation with the Abuelo 12 as my regular drinking rum. I will always ensure that my cabinet is stocked with both. The 1888 is such a smooth sipper, the smoothest for its price range for sure. A great rum I highly recommend without breaking the bank!

This is a big favorite of mine to sip. You can taste the extra aging in the sherry casks. We love it and it is easily available on the east coast.
