Just another one for the collection. Found this very cheap in a danish store, so what not to like?

I do belive this one got a new bottle, so i have include a new picture :)

Til en pris under kr. 300 havde jeg ikke så store forventninger, men synes det er en virkelig lækker rom. Dufter lidt af jamaica! Smager af farin og nødder, lidt lakrids og abrikos. Et fint "burn" af alkohol afslutter smagen, på grænsen til at blive sprittet, men uden at overtræde helt!


Začátek je super. Jen trochu sladký, nepřeslazený. Dost jsou cítit dubové sudy. A pak přijde závěr který není dobrý. Nevím čím to bylo způsobeno, ale finish práškový, až okenový. Celý dojem to naprosto zabilo.


Darker smooth, well ballanced, long aftertaste. Chocolate, and cane sugar taste.

A typical Demerara rum. Has a strong aroma of caramel, but it's definitely more than simply caramel, you can find different layers during sipping.

Poate mie nu-mi place gustul ușor taninos dar acest rom este grozav.. Dealtfel era de așteptat de la un Rum Nation.. Bun.. Foarte bun!

Rum industriale (tradizionale) realizzato assemblando diversi rum dai 6 ai 14 anni (da qui il nome Solera N°14) invecchiati in botti di bourbon. Successivamente miscelati vengono posti a riposare per 3-4 anni in botti che hanno contenuto sherry Pedro Ximenez.
È un distillato discreto con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

All'olfatto: abbastanza intenso con prevalenti note dolci di caramello, di vaniglia, seguite da note erbacee, di tostatura, ed agrumate (bergamotto).

Al gusto: appena deglutito è molto dolce, con il caramello preponderante; successivamente però ritornano le note amarognole avvertite all'olfatto, specialmente quelle di erbe amaricanti e cacao tostato; proprio queste ultime note lo salvano dall'essere stucchevole.
Il finale è medio e la bocca resta un po' impastata (forse hanno aggiunto un po' troppo caramello...vedasi anche il colore troppo scuro per gli anni dichiarati dei rum).

Rum con una complessità media, ma molto "piacione", adatto agli amanti dei sapori dolci e a chi vuole bere qualcosa di non impegnativo.

Consiglio per tutti: quando annusate un rum (o qualsiasi distillato), prima di inserire il naso e inspirare, effettuate un leggero soffio nel bicchiere e subito dopo provate a sentire i profumi. Questa operazione serve a svampare un po' la potenza dell'alcool che altrimenti vi porterebbe a bruciare nel naso e ad anestetizzare il vostro olfatto.

Provate a berlo prima da solo, poi dopo aver mangiato del cioccolato fondente (dal 70 all'85% max), ed infine dopo aver mangiato una mezza fetta di arancia fresca (compresa buccia è importante) con dello zucchero di canna sopra. ;-)

Industrial rum (traditional) made by assembling different rums from 6 to 14 years (hence the name Solera N° 14) aged in bourbon barrels. After being mixed, they are left to rest for 3-4 years in barrels that have contained Pedro Ximenez sherry.
It is a discrete distillate with good value for money.

On the nose: quite intense with prevalent sweet notes of caramel and vanilla, followed by herbaceous, toasted, and citrus (bergamot) notes.

To taste: just swallowed it is very sweet, with the preponderant caramel; subsequently, however, the bitter notes of smell, especially those of bitter herbs and roasted cocoa, return; just these last notes save him from being cloying. The finish is medium and the mouth remains a bit 'kneaded (perhaps they added a little' too caramel ... see also the color too dark for the declared years of rum).

Rum with a medium complexity, but very "cuddly", suitable for lovers of sweet flavors and those who want to drink something not demanding.

Advice for everyone: when you smell a rum (or any distillate), before inserting the nose and inhaling, make a slight puff in the glass and immediately afterwards try to smell the perfumes. This operation serves to arouse a bit 'the power of alcohol that otherwise would lead you to burn in the nose and to anesthetize your sense of smell.

Try to drink it first alone, then after eating dark chocolate (70 to 85% max), and finally after eating a half slice of fresh orange (including peel is important) with some brown sugar on top. ;-)

Sicuramente un Rhum di carattere forte il sentore di legno e anche il finale di Melassa lo rende piacevole ma non troppo zuccherino e fastidioso. Gestito in maniera encomiabile dai produttori molto ben equilibrato, un rum da passare almeno una volta nella vita


Eye: Nice light amber.
Nose: Nice classic rum-barrel.
Mouth: Sweetness, sugar, soft, barrel, pirate-ship, sharp edge, goodness.
- Wow!... This rum was some thing else. I have to get a new bottle right away.

Nose: old sweet sherry, spiciness, caramelised plums, hint of alcoholic freshness
Taste: first sweetness on the tip of the tounge, then more and more spiciness evolves, also some citrus flavours. The finish is quite long with more spice. All is covered in a moderate, malt beer like sweetness.


Le rhum qui m'a vraiment fait entrer dans le monde des demerara. Le gout est un habile mélange de pot still en bois et de colonnes savalles légendaires de cette region. Le tout vieilli en divers bois qui se font discrets et soulignent les arômes typiques guyanais sans jamais être écoeurant comme un el dorado 12 ou trop jeune comme un el dorado 8.


Not a bad drink. I enjoyed it more as the ice melted a bit. A bit of a smoky taste as well.

The Rum appears having some more body to it. Even do it has a long nice aftertaste of plums and raisin. Rum is different as you now base on have to store it. This on old sherry burrels and gives the taste.


Duft: dejlig behagelig duft. vanilje, nødder, chokolade og masser af fad.
Smag: dejlig fed med masser af fad i smagen. Den går over i kakao og er ret tør og røget i eftersmagen

Belle couleur caramel. Parfum épicé légèrement teinté de café et de réglisse, suave en bouche il n'est pas sucré sans être trop sec. Je recommande vivement. Présenté dans une bouteille comme celle de la photo de Per.


Coffee, chocolate, caramel and dried fruits flavors with pastry taste and mocha. Not very long aftertaste.


This one has a beautiful dark amber color and is quite sweet.
Coffee and toffee flavors are well present maybe a little bit too much. You will also found some baking spices around. Really not a bad product but definitively not my preferred one.


Enjoyable rum. Worth trying if you're in doubt. not to sweet.
