It took me 8 years to finally open this $10 bottle. Not a sipper...aromas of sugar cookies and light ginger cannot mask a near-neutral rum base. On the palate, I am reminded of snickerdoodles (cinnamon/vanilla), black pepper and a fair amount of alcohol burn. The finish leaves you with nothing but mild bitterness. In a Cuba Libre it becomes a vanilla bomb.
