On its own this is not very drinkable, but for making some great frozen drinks it shines. Most coconut flavored rum is only ~40 proof so this is a great substitute in everything from a Pina Colada to a Rum Runner.

If you like bad artificially flavored coconut rum with a big punch, harsh burning finish and lots of chemical additives Rejoice! Your poison is here! Face it, this is for teenagers trying to get each other naked as quickly as possible. Why wait for 3 bad pinocoladas when 2 overproof ones will get the lingerie on the floor?

35% DE ALCOHOL, LO HACEN UN PRODUCTO MAS REAL. AHORA SI ES UN RON CON SABOR A COCO. PERFECTO PARA LAS PIΓ‘AS COLADAS!!!

Tastes a bit more like a aged rum with the malibu flavour. Not to bad but not compareble to a real aged rum

Alas, the greatest problem with Malibu seems to always have been that it is too much sugar, not enough booze. This problem has been solved with Malibu Black, sporting a 70% proof and a darker, more familiar color. And yet, the question remains, is it actually all that better? On the positive side, you can put this in Coke for a zing of coconut flavor without it becoming overwhelming. Consumed neat, however, this tastes rougher than you might hope. The alcohol in Malibu is cheap and its greater relative volume in this makes this problem much more apparent. Even though this should be more "drinkable" neat than regular Malibu, to do so is not an overwhelmingly pleasant experience. While regular Malibu will make you throw up from all the sugar long before you vomit with alcohol poisoning, here I'm not sure which would win the race to the puke-off. Malibu Black is better for simple mixed drinks with a coconut zing, but not as much for smoothies, in which regular Malibu packs the water, sugar, and booze you need to make one in an all-in-one elixir. It has its purpose, like Malibu. I don't think it's any better or worse than its original cousin; it's a cheap situational rum for when you want coconut in your drink but not THAT much coconut. And for that and the price, it's good enough.

I liked Malibu's coconut rum, but I found it to be lacking in flavor and really closer to coconut liqueur than any kind of rum. This rum fixes that - mostly (it's still lacking any kind of complexity)!

It's still a gimmick rum, but quite enjoyable in a rum & coke (do not use this for sipping or any other mixed drinks).

Not really something different from the original, slightly more alcoholic perception...tries to be adolescent.

Both are fine with Coke, yet there are better options...

Solid 5 like the smaller brother

I don't love Malibu generally but I use it for very specific drinks. So if I'm going to use it, I want the strongest version. Simple.

Less sweet than its coconut brother with a lot more burn.
Good for a quick rum and coke
