J. Bally 1929

The finest rum I have ever tasted. At least in my memory as it is many years since I have had it.

J Bally was independent then and it was before the fire I am told

Now I believe it is owned by St James great rum makers themselves

It was soft not too oaky and you could feel the velvet
A bit of pear and slight cinnamon
Just worth the price if price is no object as it now sells for the few bottles left at about $8000.00 per bottle
watch when opening as the corks are crumbling in some

Al naso è finemente corposo e affascinante con sentori di legno, pelle, tostatura, zucchero bruciato, frutta secca, caffè ,cioccolato e un po' di tabacco.
Al palato è delicato ma con carattere e note floreali, di spezie dolci, pepe, legno, prugne, vaniglia e nocciole; il tutto molto rotondo e dal finale medio persistente. Nel bicchiere vuoto spezie profumate e legno
