Strong Vanilla/caramel flavors. Hefty burn in the ilk of a poor man's spiced. Follows with a whiskey aftertaste
Full flavoured Demerara rum. This is not a sipper to my palate and needs some coke as a mix. Have had it with 2/3ds water and a cube and found it lighter on the tongue.
Strong taste, hits you like a ton of bricks. One drink, sip slowly.....
It's a good enough rum, but a little over strength and harsh for my taste. Not palatable straight, requires a good ratio of mix to make it drinkable.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

At 57.1% abv, this is not a rum I would sip without a few drops of water added. I like my rum neat as a sipper but this would probably do better mixed with Coke or in a cocktail. The nose has a discernible touch of funk, which surprised me. Otherwise it is somewhat simple, with red apple skin aromas mixing with molasses. The palate is somewhat sweet, with molasses and baking spice, but is not terribly complex, either. It’s good, not great, perhaps more enjoyable as a nostalgic memory of university days years ago, than something I would deliberately seek out today.
