United States | Light | 40% ABV

Bacardi Superior Rum is the original Bacardi rum, dating back to 1862 when Don Facundo Bacardi Massó purchased his first rum distillery in Cuba. 150 years later, Bacardi Superior is now manufactured in Puerto Rico, but the recipe remains largely the same.

A unique strain of yeast discovered in the Cuban sugarcane fields is used to produce Bacardi Superior rum. The rum is filtered through charcoal, a process pioneered by Bacardi, before and after it is aged in oak barrels for at least one year.

This is supposed to be a classic, but unfortunately the more you drink quality rum, the worse this rum tastes. Not much flavor and not much bite.

Perfectly acceptable white rum for mixing. Wouldn't go anywhere near it neat, but does what you want it to. Perfect for guests.

For sure its not loathful when it comes to making drinks but its not pleasant. There are so many different good rums to go with.

As said in the title it is ok to make some cocktail like “planteur” mixed with fruits juices. Definitely not good for other usage. I will not recommend it for Ti’ Punch too.

Came back to this in my cabinet after starting my more premium rum journey... N: nondescript, but not much alcohol, creamy. T/F: Smooth and a bit of floral spice/polish? Not bad actually, but in no way a sipper.

i don t understand the superior word for this ... this bacardi was good in 70s when i was a kid, it
was (in my place) the first light rum available here, remember my father happy after bringing a bottle
at home and with our guests drinking this with cola..
today you can find this in every shop selling alcohol, but please don t buy it, it s really not good, better try
some other product, even unknown product can do a positive surprise ...

My go to for mixing. I prefer mixing with Dr Pepper but this is the basic ingredient for Rum drinks. Doesn't often leave me hurting the next day. 10/10 would not sip. Good because it's cheap and pervasive.

Listen: If you want the easiest drink of your life, mix this into a daiquiri. I am an occasionally found in casual settings enjoying this spec, despite being a very vocal fan of more complex rums in my sours.
