Bacardi Superior Rum is the original Bacardi rum, dating back to 1862 when Don Facundo Bacardi Massó purchased his first rum distillery in Cuba. 150 years later, Bacardi Superior is now manufactured in Puerto Rico, but the recipe remains largely the same.

A unique strain of yeast discovered in the Cuban sugarcane fields is used to produce Bacardi Superior rum. The rum is filtered through charcoal, a process pioneered by Bacardi, before and after it is aged in oak barrels for at least one year.

Schmeckt mir überhaupt nicht, für cocktails nicht optimal. Selbst mit cola nicht so gut.

I think bacardi used to be a good rum. Many years ago. It is a light rum. I think that being so popular today the company doesn't bother doing good rum anymore. With is a shame as being the pouring rum in many many establishments.

This is the worst rum i have had. Why is This the best selling rum in the netherlands? I also prefer gold rums.

Today, I have ordered a Bacardi rum hoping for something at least passable, but then I got this. It was somewhat bland, like drinking water with ethanol. It was more like vodka than rum, and that is just sad. There were moments when it tasted like a bubblegum that was chewed for an hour or so and it was not pleasant at all.

I can see this being served with some fruit juice, possibly cranberry or orange, but other than that pour it down the drain and buy yourself something worth your money and your taste buds.

lets be honest, this is probably the last rum you would choose to enjoy. This is to get drunk, and for that it works great

Very bad, non rumtasting drink, taste almost like vodka. Even bad for your coke.

I am a devoted Bacardi white Rum drinker. The new Superior Bacardi is making me rethink drinking Bacardi at all. I began drinking the tried and true. White Bacardi "Light" years ago in Miami. I prefer the clean fresh taste over the new Superior which tastes like I'm drinking the engine of a race car-Harsh!!! The review below mentions a vodka like taste. The best boozes are the cleanest and easiest to drink. Bacardi white-light or not at all!

The only thing I like about this rum, is the style of the rum bottle. But seriously I do not understand, why this Rum is so popular. Spend some less money to get an unlabeled Rum with same taste or spend 1-2 more € to get Havana 3yo to get a better taste. So I really do not understand, why this stuff has such a large market share.

Strong but unpleasant taste with smell of nail polish remover... and of course no colour what is just boring.

Drinkable in tea and some juice, but hard to accept on the rocks or with cola.

I'm really disappointed... :(
